about

Founded in 1998, originality and variety has played from the beginning a prominent role in the music of Taste Of Tears.

Taste Of Tears could demonstrate as well on several occasions in live concerts their abilities in front of a large audience (as the opening act for Entombed, Sepultura, Legion Of The Damned, Cataract, Negligence, Mendeed,…).

The intense time of songwriting and rehearsing was worth the effort: the result is a nearly one hour album titled „Once Human“. They were described already with their demos as “Death meets Control Denied“, but now Taste Of Tears goes a step further and extends the mix of death and power metal with progressive, jazz and hymnal elements.

While technical and demanding, the songs still don’t neglect melody, heavyness and emotion. Mixed by Tommy Vetterli (Coroner, Kreator, 69 Chambers) at Newsound Studios and mastered by Dan Suter (Echochamber), the sound of the album leaves nothing to be desired. The mysterious and oppressive artwork by Canadian artist Yaga Kielb makes the overall picture nearly perfect.
