about

Summon was founded as a project in 2003 by Henk Verwohlt. It stayed in an idle status until January 2010 when the 1st Summon EP “Space Illustrations” was finished. In this period of Summon it was still a solo band with a lot of computer generated music and ambient sounds. In June 2011 with “Nyx” – the 4th EP – more and more real instruments were included.

One month later Britta Humberg (Bass) and Thomas Mrosek (Saxophone, Recorder) joined and made Summon a band. Due to volume and timing benefits computer generated drums are used. Two concerts were played in 2011. November 2011 was the release date of the first song “Spirula”. The vocals were done by Sean Sams. “Divisions” followed in January 2012. This time the vocals were done by Henk Verwohlt. The band is planing more concerts in 2012.
