Bow is the mysterious new project by Dutch multi-instrumentalist Chris van der Linden, best known as the driving force and singer of progressive rockband Fourteen Twentysix. With Bow he further breaks away from the mainstream, combining ambient, industrial and ethnic music into evocative, cinematic soundscapes. The debut album “Man In The Machine” is entirely fan-funded, a clear statement that one needs no record label to create fantastic music and reach music fans around the world.
Man In The Machine
The debut album titled “Man In the Machine” tells the haunting story of a man questioning one’s purpose in life. An emotional and unique musical journey that takes you on a mesmerizing trip you won’t soon forget. The album combines dreamy ambient, glitchy noises, pounding industrial and fragile harp playing into a stunning collage. The album is devoid of any singing and instead uses film-like spoken word passages for its narrative.
Man In The Machine is scheduled for release September 2012 and features guest appearances of Sarah Nichols (Harp), Keith Wallace (Spoken word), Martijn Jorissen (Bass) and Sjors Bogers (drums/percussion).
Influences: Chroma Key, Tiamat, Recoil, Fredrik Thordendal’s Special Defects, Nine Inch Nails, Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd.
