about

I was born in Tunis, Tunisia in October 1988. I’ve always been surrounded by music, since my grandmother played the oud, and both my old brother and sister who played oud, guitar and violin for a period. I’ve been into metal and rock music when I was still a kid, thanks to my old brother who was rehearsing with his first death/black metal band in our house.

Years later, when I was 15, my mom bought me my very first acoustic guitar because she felt that i had a big interest on music in general and on this particular instrument. She tried to register me in the Cervantes Spanish Institute to get some lessons, but unfortunately it was too late so I had decided to learn by my own.

I met great musicians in Junior School and during some local metal shows, who gave advices and lend me some books. Thanks to Internet, O managed to get instructional videos of artists like Patrick Rondat, and Rusty Cooley and jammed many times and played alone in my room the first 2 years, practicing the techniques and writing (bad) stuff.

Influences: Since I have been into maghrebian and pure arab music during my childhood, i do my best to mix my roots with metal music, even if i enjoy play strictly modern metal. The fury and the energy given by metal attracts as much as the melancholy and joy we can feel in Classical, or Occidental Music. Therefore, I try to mix all of that in order to bring something new and fresh and build my own musical identity.

Projects: I have released my very first 5 tracks demo “Experience” in November 2007 which had helped to get my songs played in the only metal radio show in Tunisia “Zanzana”. Moreover, I did the opening of the 5th edition of the famous Festival Medittéranéen de la Guitare and other music festival such as Zanzana Live show, Musique&Tolérance. After a 2 years hiatus, I moved to Toulouse, France where I live now. In October 2010, I released a second 3 tracks demo “Searching My Way”.

It was well acclaimed by the critics in France and Tunisia. The year after, I finally released my very first solo album “A Neverending Pain Of A Betraying Man”. 4 songs of this album have reached more than 21000 plays until today on Rockenfolie radio rock station.I’m now working and focusing on my side projects, AIM Project and Bringers Of The 7 Plagues.
