There's definitely something special about Swedish prog that's difficult to pin down... "Moon Safari", "Pain Of Salvation", "Kaipa", "Flower Kings", "Karmakanic"... and the band "Villebråd", too, whose playful and extraordinarly melodic music sometimes sounds more like indie than prog - which I highly appreciate. Among the guest musicians, we find Hans "Kaipa" Lundin, and his trademark moog can be heard in abundance on "Another Worthless Phrase". Clearly one of my best purchases this year, discovered thanks to the brandnew "Prog Daily Vol. 1" sampler by Prog Sphere Promotions.
